Luke 11:9
‘’And so, I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.’’
I love the Gospel of Luke as it continuously emphasises on the importance of prayer. On many occasions we often read that Jesus would go to remote places to pray and many times after a would miracle happen. Before I found myself in Christ, I had no idea how to pray, I always thought there was a certain way to pray, a certain structure and specific words I had to use. I was extremely scared to pray out loud in front of people and whenever I was asked to pray in church my body would freeze and I begin to stutter. You can imagine how embarrassing this was. I was convinced that God would never hear my prayers because I assumed that I was doing it inaccurately.
But when I found Christ, when I started reading the word for myself, when I stopped being a lukewarm Christian, I saw my prayer life go from being non-existant to something I have to do every day without fail. I went from praying for two minutes of just “thank you Jesus” to being fervent with my prayers. It took me some time to understand this however I want you to know that when you pray God hears you. Daughter He hears you, he hears your cries, because He is your Heavenly Father, as the word says He will never leave nor forsake you! Be confident in the promise that when you ask you shall receive, when you seek you shall find and when you knock the door will be opened.
When time is spent in prayer, God will give you the answers you seek because no answers can be found without God. I encourage you through everything to PRAY FOR IT, PRAY ON IT AND PRAY THROUGH IT.
Through prayer walls come falling down and that breakthrough you have been seeking will happen. Jesus said to disciples after they failed to cast out a demon from a child that this kind can only come out through prayer and fast. That is how powerful prayer can be and when combined with fasting and reading of the word you will find yourself reaching new spiritual levels and dimensions. Jesus knew that in life we will face many things that will try to choke us, and that is why we have prayer as our weapon to win every battle we face. It's time to take ownership of your prayer life,
